Combined treatment of primary cancer of the trachea

This article ends a series of publications concerning the results of years of research conducted at the Center for the Study of the effectiveness of various treatments of primary cancer of the trachea. In particular, among the malignant tumors of the trachea special treatment (surgery, combined, radiotherapy) was performed 292 patients with primary cancer of the trachea, from which was diagnosed in 144 Adenoid Cystic carcinoma and 148 - squamous cell carcinoma. Moreover, combined treatment with surgical stage of treatment after adjuvant radiotherapy was performed in 101 patients with primary cancer of the trachea, among whom 52 patients were identified Adenoid Cystic, and in 49 observations - squamous cell carcinoma. Presented long-term results of combined treatment of primary malignant tumors of the trachea, in which the most aggressive course characterized squamous form of cancer, compared with Adenoid Cystic carcinoma
