Communicative competence: demarcation of meaning

The article deals with the dominants of the meaning of the term “communicative competence” on the basis of the comparative analysis of the native and foreign scientific outlooks. There are differentiated the related notions of “communicative competence”, “language competence”, “speech competence” and “linguistic competence” by the means of the functional and semantic analysis.
