Competences of specialists when working with a substitute family

A new social institution - a substitute family is in the process of formation. Substitute parents experience difficulties in raising adopted children associated with a dysfunctional childhood. The issues of competence of specialists working with such a family, ensuring the preservation and restoration of its educational resource, improving relationships in the substitute family, the stability of the family system, are chosen as the subject of the study. The study substantiates the content and technologies of the work of a specialist in supporting a substitute family, such as a mediation approach, technology for mobilizing the own educational potential of substitute parents, psychological and pedagogical education.
