The competence-based approach to FL teacher training

The article deals with the nature and status of the competence-based approach to teacher training in the hierarchy of research approaches. This provides a new perspective for forming the TFL methodological competence as a component of linguodidactic competence. Emphasis is laid on the role of foreign language conversation classes in developing of FL teachers.
