Competence approach in teaching foreign languages

This article is devoted to the consideration of the differences between the concepts of "competence" and "competence-based approach". The authors of the article reveal the essence of the competence-based approach using the example of teaching foreign languages. Competence-based learning is seen as an alternative to traditional learning. The article identifies the most effective methods of teaching a foreign language based on a competence-based approach.
