The authors conduct a detailed analysis of risk factors, highlighting the most important areas affecting the sustainability and reliability of the hotel sector. Among the main problems stand out the issues of physical protection, hygiene and epidemiological well-being, cybersecurity and technical reliability of infrastructure. Statistics of global and local studies are provided, illustrating the scale of threats and proving the need to take adequate measures. Particular importance is paid to changes caused by the development of information and communication technologies, digitalization, which have significantly influenced security models. The role of state bodies and professional associations in developing recommendations and standards aimed at reducing the negative consequences of possible incidents is considered. Specific examples from the hotel business are given, demonstrating the effectiveness of the implemented technological solutions and training programs for personnel. Attention is drawn to the importance of interdepartmental interaction and coordination of efforts of representatives of the private and public sectors for the effective implementation of strategic initiatives. It is concluded that safety is becoming a fundamental factor in the sustainable development of the industry, requiring an integrated and systematic approach. Traditional security models are being transformed, including the introduction of innovative technologies, staff development and increased cooperation with government agencies to quickly respond to threats.
