A comprehensive approach to developing academic motivation in students

The concept of “academic motivation” is defined. The results of measuring the level of academic motivation in students using the “Academic Motivation Scale” method are presented. It is concluded that students have a high level of motivation to study. The problem of high scores on the subscales of external motivation, reflecting the students' pronounced focus on external assessments with reliance on personal values, is revealed. The methods of developing academic motivation from the standpoint of students' activities, teachers and the management of the educational organization are described.
