The study of art through sociology is a very important and interesting phenomenon, both for the development of art and for the applied branch of sociology, the sociology of art. In the paradigm of the sociology of art, there are several concepts that are closely interconnected - art, artistic culture, artistic life, it is also important to understand artistic production, artistic communication and artistic consumption. The art of each period has its own sphere of distribution and its own sphere of influence, so contemporary art is primarily aimed at the youth. Often, contemporary art is perceived as something contrary to all norms, refuting well-established norms, and sometimes it is considered as provocative art. It is necessary to study the influence of contemporary art on society for several reasons. Firstly, it is an expressive element of the essence of the mood of society in each period, through art one can exert pressure on the formation of a certain picture of the world. Secondly, the tendencies of the formation of a certain audience can come from the public order, or can be formed due to internal currents in the development of methods and tasks of art itself. Art is a diverse field for activity, therefore, its study provides a broad understanding of both the social structure of our time and the level of satisfaction with it by society.
