This article discusses the theoretical and methodological aspects of economic concepts aimed at optimizing the use of resources, maximizing destination profits and sustainable development. Key concepts of "multiplier effect," "sustainable tourism," "tourist potential" and "elasticity of demand" at a price are analyzed. As a result of the study, it was noted that the concepts of tourism management evolve from purely commercial approaches to models focused on sustainable development, service quality management and the formation of a positive image of the destination. Particular attention is paid to minimizing environmental consequences and increasing the role of local communities
