The presented article examines the ontological views of the bright Russian philosopher of the XX century Ivan Alexandrovich Ilyin. It emphasizes that, according to his perspectives, true faith pertains to the transcendent principle; however, God manifests Himself not only beyond the confines of our material world but also within it, indicating His immanence. Additionally, the article highlights the significance of I.A. Ilyin’s idea that nature is permeated by the Divine principle and is symbolic in every phenomenon and fragment. A separate section of the article is devoted to the “world dust”, which I.A. Ilyin realizes as an independent ontological category, as the personification of an unorganized multitude, decay and decomposition. The author concludes that I.A. Ilyin’s worldview is rooted in the traditions of Russian philosophy, positioning him as an apologist for integrity as a basic philosophical category.
