The concept of human in V. Rasputin's novel “Farewell to Matyora”

The novel «Farewell to Matyora» is the first work of Rasputin, which fully reflects thе conception of a human and history that will manifest itself in the later works of the writer. The question of the value of a human in the dynamically changing world in the turn of the Millennium is revealed on the basis of the following material: the represented text and journalists' speeches of the writer. His relation to the nature and technology, past and present, traditions and laws of conscience and slogans of new State that was born in the twentieth century are reviewed.
