Conception of long-term social and economic development («Russia-2020»): challenges for regions

The paper examines some items of Conception of long-term social and economic development of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2020. It analyzes changes in federal districts and selected regions of Russia from 2002 till 2007 and draws the conclusion concerning the regional possibilities to hit the key targets mentioned in the Conception.
