The article presents the concept of developing an integrated training system for track and field runners. Its main elements are highlighted: scientific principles, theoretical foundations, key concepts, corresponding methods, means and technologies for training athletes, technical solutions. The article defines the key concept of the “integrated training system” as a complex, multifaceted process aimed at achieving the optimal shape of an athlete, developing his physical, technical, tactical and psychological qualities. The article shows the theoretical foundations of the concept related to such areas of science as sports physiology, biomechanics and psychology; the scientific principles underlying it (systematicity, individualization, gradualism, adaptability). The article describes approaches to building a training process and an integrated training system for track and field runners in general; methods and techniques that need to be added to a coach’s professional arsenal; modern digital technologies and tools that can significantly optimize and individualize the training process; means of taking into account the individual needs of each athlete. Based on theoretical analysis and study of practical experience, the possibilities, difficulties and risks of implementing the concept in the practice of training track and field runners are identified. A conclusion is made about the compliance of the proposed system with the requirements of today, its potential for further improvement, and its role as a tool for the development of sports in Russia.
