The concept of "богатырство" in Russian literature: dialectic of constant and original

Based on the example of reconstruction of “богатырство” concept, the article shows literary effectiveness of the two approaches to the implementation of such an analysis. Firstly, the reconstruction of the key meanings of a certain constant ethnocultural dominant can be methodically successful for those studies that are aimed at studying the specifics of national literature (possibly with a comparative perspective that allows us to draw global conclusions about the features of the world literary process). Secondly, the original semantic stresses placed by a particular author during the artistic arrangement of a given concept can demonstrate its individual value orientations, serve as an important element for restoring a spiritual portrait of a writer, and testify to a literary tradition laid down or continued by him. That is why attention is focused on the polysemantics of the term "concept", which must be taken into account in order to avoid inaccuracies in the implementation of literary studies.
