The article continues the author’s series of articles devoted to the main development stages of the European philosophy of education. The author reveals the peculiarities of the New Age philosophy of education on the example of the Age of Enlightenment. The paper argues that the content and form of education were closely connected with the Enlightenment ideas, which declared the natural right of the human being and other liberal values of the personal liberty. The Enlightenment philosophy of education determined the essence of the education during the following periods of the European civilization development.
