The concept of life narrative in the works of Tilman Habermas

The article reveals the approach of T. Habermas to the study of life narratives; the main positions of the approach are given. The following aspects of life narratives covered in the author’s works are described: global narrative coherence and its types; diachronic aspect of personal identity; pre-reflexive experience of the continuity of the Self and linguistic signs of its violations; text-analytical methods for studying life narratives; the relationship of identity, development and culture.
