Conceptualization of the transition from a model of continuing education to a model of lifelong education

The article is devoted to understanding the initial conceptual positions of a large-scale restructuring of the system of additional professional education in Russia. We are talking about the so-called “lifelong learning". The authors enter the discourse developed in the press, at conferences about the tasks, goals, principles, content and technologies of the organization of the stated education system. The article focuses on the need to build the educational process in the framework of the constituted form of Continuing Education Centers. Here, positions are expressed regarding educational programs, the essence of which should be technological innovations, interactive forms of education, the ideology of which is built not only in the logic of knowledge development, but in least in the logic of practice, focused on a specific goal. Thus, the challenge is to combine the efforts of practitioners and theoretical scientists.
