This article is devoted to the peculiarities of the representation of school violence in the American media at the present stage. The author attempts a hermeneutical analysis of contemporary American media products (1992-2020) in order to identify a representative image of school violence. The author comes to the conclusion that the modern American media associated with the research sphere creates a picture of the world full of bullying and armed attacks provoked by various motives.
