The conceptual field in the modern linguistic paradigm

The term “conceptual field” is one of the key concepts of cognitive linguistics. The analysis of works of domestic and foreign linguists are shown, the term "conceptual field" has no accurate definition. The appeal to the field theory seems to be very effective, due to the fact that the idea of the existence of a certain structural quantity uniting linguistic units into a system was quite successfully embodied into the concept of “field”. This seems to be extremely important, since consistency is one of the fundamental properties of the organization of the world. The field model of the linguistic system is presented as a continuous collection of fields, passing into each other with their peripheral zones and having a multilevel character. The field concept of language has sufficient explanatory power and methodological value. The structure and content of the conceptual field vary depending on the objectives and goals of a particular study. The field approach allows you to comprehensively describe concepts that do not function in an isolated mode. They enter into various relationships with each other, forming conceptual areas organized in a special way, which they call the conceptual field. The conceptual field is systematically organized and represents a separate, structured fragment. . The following features of the conceptual field are distinguished: a set of multilevel tools interconnected by systemic relations and forming constituents of the field; the general meaning, to one degree or another, inherent in its constituents; the possibility of highlighting in a general sense other values that may be opposite or polar; complex structure. The structure and the maintenance of the conceptual field are changed depending on tasks and objectives of the research. This article is devoted to the model of the conceptual field as as difficult mental education consists of several components allowing to present the complex updated maintenance and structure of a communicative and relevant part of concept as reflection of consciousness of carriers of a concrete language.
