Conceptual approaches to evaluation of ecological and economic status of the region in the context of sustainable development

The article deals with improvement of the methods for assessing ecological and economic status of the region, studies process flows: environmental monitoring - assessment of anthropogenic impacts on the environment - automated infor- mation systems for improving the state of the region’s environment and its sustain- able development - problems of rational managerial decision-making. We also discuss the need to improve the analysis of environmental expenditure structure at the regional level, introduce a data bank, which will include regulatory and legal information, information on environmental standards, regional environmental mon- itoring data, information on social and economic situation in the region and techno- logical environmental impact. In addition, the article presents the stages of regional environmental and economic analysis, as well as the structure of environmental and economic information.
