The concept analysis of the information and psychological war and its potential within the period of the Chechen conflict

The article puts forward the analysis of a political and legal category as an «information war», which is regarded as the initial focus on the care of the military events and considering the manipulative influence using mass media. Modern Russia is an example of a country successfully overcoming the identified problems, largely due to the efficiency of the pursuit of national interests in the changing conditions of the global multi-polar world, the preservation of the territorial integrity, constitutional order. The alignment of multipolar international relations is often accompanied by negative phenomena such as armed conflicts. However, the global world brings not only new prospects, but also new threats. In this context, it is relevant to discuss the issue of the information war, and also in the context of contemporary geopolitical problems. As a result of the lessons learned, there states that the «information warfare» is difficult and complex, but it is not an undetectable category regarded as a targeted impact methods and techniques of subjects action on the social processes and relations with the use of information technology and alongside with the production of misinformation in its core as the potential discredit to realize their ambitions. The authors note a particular interest in the phenomenon designated as a part of the consideration of modern problems of Russian information security, both domestically and in international relations.
