Conceptual and linguistic aspects of the metaphorization of the military vocabulary (based on the German language)

The article deals with the analysis of the conceptual basis of the metaphorical usage of the military vocabulary and the ways of the implementation of the conceptual metaphors at the language level. There are revealed the metaphorical models in the context of the conceptual metaphors (fight, weapon and war). The author considers the conceptual and linguistic behaviour of the metaphorization of the military vocabulary in accordance with the metaphor’s function. There are revealed the mechanisms of the gradual metaphorization. There is concluded about the necessity of the differentiation of the simple and complicated metaphors.
