Conflict of interest in public administration: current issues of theory and practice of legal regulation

The content of the relatively new legal institution «conflict of interest» is considered in the article; the specifics of its regulatory legal regulation and implementation with regard to relations arising in the field of public administration is analyzed. In the course of the study, the authors come to the conclusion that there are a number of gaps and contradictions in the legislative definition of the category of «personal interest» under consideration and the related category and offer options for bringing these concepts into line with established international practice and developing legal relations.
