Conflicts of interest: problems of definition

The article outlines the problems of understanding the conflict of interest. This applies, in particular, to the subjects of a conflict of interest and their positions, direct and indirect interests, income and benefits. Attention is drawn to the legislative imperfection of the definition of "conflict of interest", as well as to the ambiguity of interpretations of the terms "conflict" and "interest". It is concluded that a conflict of interest is the unlawful actions of the subject, aimed at satisfying his selfish, illegal needs, contradicting, violating the law using his official, official position (status).
