Conflict of interest: problems of legal regulation

The article identifies scientific, theoretical and regulatory problems of legal regulation of conflicts of interest. Attention is drawn to the terminological apparatus, which needs clarification, specification, and adequate understanding. It is concluded that the legal regulation of conflicts of interest in conditions of uncertainty of the terminological apparatus, non-systematic (fragmented) normative legal acts, does not have a clear mechanism for its implementation. Consequently, it is necessary to improve the relevant terms, bring into the system regulatory legal acts on conflicts of interest and develop consistent, logical elements of the mechanism of legal regulation in the fight against corruption.
