Economic competitiveness of the Russian Federation in the context of globalization: trends and prospects

The article studies the present stage features of economic globalization. It analysesapproaches to assessing the level of globalization and competitiveness. It estimates relationship of competitiveness of the country and its level of involvement in the processes of globalization. The author shows the ways of economic development of the Russian Federation aimed at improving its competitiveness. Focus on the internal factors to increase competitiveness is in priority: increasing productivity, formation of a stable competitive environment, implementation of industrial policy and support the effective demand of the internal customer.
