The constitution of a country as the value of the state and society

The problem of values in law, including the system of constitutional values, is one of the urgent problems in the modern Russian state. The article proposes the arguments of the thesis about the value of the constitution in the state and in society, conditionally divided into formal and essential, meaningful. Analyzing the substantive content of the system of constitutional values, issues are posed about the criteria, limits of filling the system of constitutional values, maintaining balance and proportionality of constitutionally protected values, distrust of constitutionally secured power in modern Russia. The author comes to the conclusion about the need for effective control over the implementation of constitutional values and public assessment of their actual implementation.
