The article considers the features of designing the environmental component of the teacher's professional competences. In the introductory part of the article the problem of human, social and nature relations at different stages of human development is actualized, the issue of the present condition of the world and the development of the socio-natural environment is touched upon. Based on the mentioned above it is proved that the improvement the teacher's professional competences needs the obligatory inclusion of an environmental component. In this regard, a new concept "the teacher's through ecological competence" is introduced and revealed. Comprehensively, the concept of "construction" is analyzed from the poly positional aspect and from the pedagogical point of view the relationship between this concept and the subject of research is grounded. The conclusion is made that the design process in this context is considered both in narrow and broad sense. It is understood not only as a process of deepening, expanding and streamlining of the knowledge acquired, but also as a process for developing the teacher’s through ecological competence as a system representing a set of ecological components of all groups (key, basic, special) of the professional competence and general cultural competence of the teacher, including pedagogical modeling and pedagogical projecting.
