Many countries consider transportation of goods in containers economy, environmentally friendly and profitable for implementation by almost all types of transport [1]. Russia, as a country with a territory of about 17.2 million sq. km, comprising 89 federal subjects, and having a relatively developed transport network, has all the prerequisites for the development of transportation of this type. According to the accepted terminology, a container is a receptacle with a certain carrying capacity, which is intended for storing and moving goods that do not require special conditions during transportation. Containers, as well as similar packages, allow for unloaded delivery of goods from sender to recipient. Currently, the share of cargo transportation in containers and packages is approximately 6.5% of the total volume of transported cargo [2]. It should be noted that in recent years this indicator has increased on more than one and a half times. So, transportation of goods in containers is in great demand in the modern transport market.
