Context and discourse of characters in stories of A.P. Chekhov "Chameleon" and "The fatty and the scrag" in translation into Chinese

In the article dialectic relationships between discourse and context are analized on the example of famous works "Chameleon" and "The Fatty and the Scrag" from two aspects: conditionality of the context over the character's discourse and reconstructing of a new context with help of his discourse. This article is intended for Chinese readers, which have the chances to better appreciate, recognize and experience the excellent art of irony, involving in Chekhov's short stories.
