As the mass of content and data increases and new delivery channels are created, new user interaction patterns for different types of media emerge. This requires a new skillset from media professionals that goes beyond structuring content: developing the strategy for content creation, delivery and governance. The article describes the basics of the new media profession called “content strategist” and the necessary skills to practice it.
