The article is devoted to the concept and legal nature of counterfeit products. The legal characteristic of such an offense as smuggling of counterfeit is given. Statistics are presented confirming the growth trend of such an offense. A number of reasons for the emergence and stable growth of counterfeiting facts are highlighted. Subjective ways to counter counterfeit products are given.
