Control and recording of conversations in some countries of Central America and Russia

Based on the analysis of domestic legislation and legislation of the Republics of Nicaragua and Guatemala, a comparative legal analysis of the regulation of the organization and conducting the investigative action «control and recording of conversations» is carried out in the article. The most topical issues are considered by the author such as correlation of the mentioned above investigative action and the operational-search measure «wiretapping» as well as the necessity to combine control and recording of telephone and other conversations and obtain information about connections between subscribers and (or) subscriber devices, as well as to receive information transmitted by e-mail, into one investigative action within which it is possible to obtain any information about conversations conducted using electronic means of communication, concerning both their content and their billing parameters.
