The article shows the importance of space education as an integral part of Earth Sciences. Scientific achievements in the space sphere and in the field of geo-informatics have firmly entered our lives. We make extensive use of the Internet, spatial navigation aids, digital cameras and 3D digital panoramas. Space technologies are increasingly being introduced into the constant practice of people; however, training in these technologies is not adequately carried out. Such sciences as geo-informatics, geo-ecology, geo-information mapping, appeared more than 40 years ago. However, they are not included in school curricula; they are not fully studied in universities. The purpose of this article is to draw attention to the insufficient education of schoolchildren in the field of Earth Sciences. The article proposes different ways to correct this situation. Early career guidance of schoolchildren in the system of continuing education in the field of astronautics and geo-information service is proposed. To this end, it is proposed to create centers in vocational guidance that train specialists in the educational activities of the geo-information service. The relevance and prospects of the work of such centers are analyzed. The article also proposed the use of engineering classes to teach schoolchildren in space technologies, with the aim of developing a cosmic worldview in them. The problems of the implementation of modern professional orientation activities in structural units of higher educational institutions are being raised. Organizational solutions are proposed for the effective organization and functioning of centers for further education in terms of career guidance. Teaching the younger generation the most advanced space technologies will increase labor productivity in a digital society and increase the country’s defense capabilities.
