The bird bones from the cave near Ust-Chernaya in the Eastern Transbaikal

These are the first published data on late Quaternary birds of the Transbaikal region from karst localities. 10 species were identified in the study of 44 bird bones from the new Pleistocene-Holocene location - cave at the Ust''-Chernaya archaeological microregion (Shilka River Basin). Water, forest-steppe, steppe and mountain-tundra habitants were found. Gogol (Bucephala clangula) and Daurian partridge (Perdix dauuricae) specified in subfossil condition in this region for the first time. Data briefly summarized on fossil and subfossil birds in Transbaikalia.
