Creative and activity-based approach to the development of professional skills of teachers

In the article, in accordance with the chosen methodology of humane, creative-activity education, the image of a professional teacher is presented and ways of developing pedagogical skills in the system of lifelong education are determined. The characteristic of effective forms, methods and means of development of professional skills of teachers is given and its model is built. The concepts of “professional skill”, “creativity”, “creative activity”, “lifelong education” have been clarified. The importance of the creative-activity approach in the development of pedagogical skills is determined. The basic principles of the system for the development of pedagogical skills in the context of lifelong education are identified. Among the pedagogical conditions, special attention is paid to scientific and methodological support of the development of pedagogical skills and the inclusion of students in design, research, reflexive-evaluative activities, team work. The most important problems are identified, taking into account modern trends in the field of education, requiring discussion and analysis, as well as the main directions of research on the development of professional skills in the context of lifelong education. The effective forms and methods of teachers’ professional development have been identified.
