Creative industries and professional training of cultural specialists

The article substantiates the use of the term “creative industries” in the modern scientific field. Characteristics of different positions in relation to the creative industries are given. In this case, documents developed at the state level are taken into account. The degree of practical application of this term in the educational space of Russia is considered: from secondary schools to higher educational institutions. Modern experience in the development of professional training of specialists in the field of culture is summarized. The work of the Moscow State Institute of Culture in this direction and the experience of conducting a federal project of the student Olympiad in the basic direction of “creative industries” are especially noted. The authors of the article identified criteria for assessing novelty in the development of original projects in the field of culture.
