Creative consortium of cultural universities in the context of professional education development: from idea to project

In modern conditions of transformation of higher education and changes in labor market conditions, there is a need to find effective approaches to professional training of specialists. One of the promising directions to achieve this goal is to combine the resources of educational organizations and create consortia. The article provides a brief historical background on the emergence and development of academic consortia in Russia. Various points of view on the effectiveness of such formations have been identified. A project is presented to create a consortium of Russian cultural universities on the basis of the Moscow State Institute of Culture, whose strategic goal is to form a new model of education at the interface of science, culture, art and innovation. The interim results of the implementation of this project at the initial stage are summarized. A forecast is given for its further development.
