This article outlines the techniques and methods of combating crime. Theoretical and practical problems that hinder the effective fight against crime are considered. Among the theoretical problems, it is distinguished that forensic techniques and methods are advisory, and not mandatory. Practical problems are that the criminal procedural legislation needs to be amended, adjusted, and changed, which will later become the legislative basis in the fight against crime. As a result, options and proposals were made for the commission of legislation, as well as the work of the investigation in the fight against crime.
