A forensic approach to media coverage of the facts of war crimes committed with the use of ammunition and explosive devices

The article provides the statistical data on war crimes committed with the use of ammunition and explosive devices on the example of one of the Russian regions. The main activities related to their recording and documentation are considered. The existing approaches of solving these issues are analyzed, as well as the effectiveness of using certain methods and means. This analysis primarily allows us to identify existing positive experience, as well as identify shortcomings of methodological and technical nature when performing the above-mentioned measures. The practical significance of the forensic approach in covering the facts of war crimes is determined, as well as its impact on the information component in their coverage. This makes it possible to develop proposals for methodological support of these activities, which will increase the efficiency of reporting war crimes in the information environment.
