Introduction. The aim is to identify the peculiarities of the criminological characteristics of the personality of cyberextremists whose acts are not related to the building up of extremist communities or organizations, in order to establish the legally important circumstances of illegal behaviour of these individuals and to develop a system of effective measures to prevent extremist crimes committed via information and telecommunications technologies. Materials, Results and Discussion. The main elements that constitute the criminological characteristics of the personality of cyberextremists whose acts are not related to the building up of extremist communities or organizations are described. The peculiarities of criminal law, socio-demographic and moral-psychological characteristics of these individuals are revealed. Conclusions. The criminological characteristics of a cyberextremist, whose acts are not related to the building up of extremist communities and organizations, have a number of significant distinctive features that need to be taken into account when developing measures to prevent extremist crimes committed via information and telecommunications technologies.
