Criminological aspects of cybercrime

The article examines the criminological aspects of cybercrime: the concept, structure, causes and conditions, characteristics, the personality of the offender, motivational and goal-setting attitudes, as well as the manifestation of victimization and the specifics of the criminogenic situation in the digital environment. The authors emphasize the need for a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach to the study of cybercrime and justify the relevance of developing modern specialized criminological theories that are adapted to the conditions of the virtual space. Special attention is paid to measures to counter cybercrime, as well as to the prevention of cybercrime and the improvement of digital literacy among the population as a key element of the victimological aspect of prevention.
