Criminological analysis of shoplifting

Бесплатный доступ

The author characterizes shoplifter’s criminal behavior mechanism: 1) motivation (need for personal items, realization of the stolen; to experience emotions); 2) planning (simplified due to the criminal skills transferred to the person: to take out certain items, bypassing the cash register, etc.); 3) execution. Author thinks the fight against shoplifting requires more attention to external conditions (creating obstacles to the execution of criminal intent).
