The reliability of the results of pedagogical experiment depends on the quality of measurement of empirical data obtained in the process of its implementation, as well as the correctness of the theoretical conclusions made on the basis of these data. When developing evaluation criteria of the diagnostic tools we have defined the criteria and indicators for assessing the level of development of environmental competence, methods, and methods of their diagnosis (index - validity).
