Criteria for assessing adult learner’s readiness for distance learning

When assessing the adult learner’s readiness for distance learning, it is necessary to take into account a set of interrelated and interacting factors, among which the priority is given to the student’s ability to learn in general and to specific planned learning in particular, having motivation for it and a previously formed knowledge base. In addition, self-organization, digital skills, and the ability to learn independently are needed. Social and psychological factors, such as support from family and friends, as well as from the employer, play an important role. The article proposes criteria for assessing student’s readiness for distance e-learning for all the mentioned directions and aspects.
