Crisis trends of the network society: methods of self-identification

Thee article examines the protest of an individual against reality in a networked society in which new cultural models are being planted with the help of digital technologies and an alien lifestyle is being promoted. Protest phenomena in this regard turn out to be innovations such as escapism, gambling addiction, leisure associations that arise in response to the uncertainty of the present and future, to social anxieties caused by the endless process of technologization of being. Thee authors analyze how modern people, in particular young people, use escapist practices to escape from reality and express themselves in virtual and subcultural spaces. Protest forms such as participation in amateur communities, online games, and in volvement in alternative and ctional realities are presented. The article analyzes the psychological motives associated with the desire to get rid of social pressure and nd identity in informal associations, contrast ing themselves with traditional social groups.
