Round table "Upbringing as a determining factor in shaping a personality: concepts and discourses"

On the 6th of April 2011 Chair of Pedagogics with the course on methods of teaching mathematics held a round table entitled "Upbringing as a determining factor in shaping a personality: concepts and discourses". The event was made possible on the initiative of the head of the Chair, Prof. N. I. Meshkov. The round table gathered the leading scholars of the university - Doctor degree and Kandidat degree holders in pedagogics, psychology, sociology, philology, philosophy as well as the representatives of the Mordovian and Saransk eparchy. Discussion embraced the following issues: upbringing as a social and pedagogical phenomenon; aims of upbringing; content of upbringing; means of upbringing; subjects of upbringing; national traditions of upbringing in the Republic of Mordovia. Several abstracts of the round table discussion dealing with the most topical issues of upbringing are presented to the audience attention.
