Large-scale values research: opportunities and limitations

The author examines major large-scale research projects characterized by various opportunities and limitations in the proposed value topics, in research coverage (international research, transnational or conducted within one country or region), in the methods used to measure values. The theoretical foundations of the modern research methods are considered. The generalized conclusions of research projects on the conducted stages of surveys are presented. In conclusion, a number of domestic axiological studies with a representative sample are considered, and the multivariance of methods for researching values is noted, which provides an opportunity to choose the most theoretically and practically grounded research project when carrying out any analytical work.
