The article is devoted to one of the topical tasks in higher education institutions - increasing students' independence by means of large modular supports. Since the main methods of independent educational activity are the reception of the semantic processing of the text, the methods of concise and rational recording of the material, then methodology for using them plays a primary role in the solution of the task, as described in articl. The article reveals the concept of large modular schemes as large modular graphic visualization, describes all types of such schemes, gives detailed examples in the of higher mathematics. The emphasis is placed on the use of large modular schemes in the teaching of higher mathematics to students studying at non-mathematical faculties. The article shows the methodology of teaching higher mathematics by means of logical and algorithmic flowchart, flow-graph (scheme-spider, polygonal flowgraph), rectangular table-matrix modules - tables from our many years of experience in teaching mathematics. In addition, some methodical techniques are described that force students to listen and understand training mathematical information, and not to memorize mathematical theory. Examples are given of increasing independence of students through the use of large modular circuits. In addition, the article presents the results of the questionnaire - the students' opinions about the use of schematic visual.
