Xenotransplantation as a method of overcoming the acute shortage of donor material: a legal aspect

The global shortage of donor organs is an urgent problem of humanity and one of the main obstacles to the active development of transplantology in Russia and the world. This article is devoted to a detailed analysis of domestic and foreign legal regulation of such a promising method of overcoming the acute shortage of donor organs as xenotransplantation. In the course of the work, the main international recommendations for the development of xenotransplantation are presented, as well as the current state of this direction in our country is investigated.
